Tony was drawing cartoons of Australian native animal characters for his first son and contacted several publishers with concept ideas. Steve Parish Publishing was looking for a new range and the project for Dizzy and Friends began! The series of cute characters was published in 2004, Tony's youngest child loves the interplay with the lift flap books and hidden images and his eldest child loves the story “Who’s Shoe?” especially the humour of the numbat wearing the shoe on the tail.
